Basic Findings

This two day course gives you the basics you need to make your own Findings. Learn how to make Shepherd Hooks, Earring Posts and Hoops, Bails, 3 types of clasps, and how to solder on pin-backs. You’ll never buy pre-made findings again! Previous knowledge of silver smithing is recommended but not required.

Required Tools:

• 1- Butane Torch
• 1- Round Nose Pliers
• 1- Wire Cutters
• 1- 6" Half-Round 2 cut File with Handle
• 3 Sheets- Emery Paper: "1" "0" "2/0"
• 1×6" – 18ga Sterling Silver Sheet
• 1 foot- 12 ga Round Wire
• 1 foot – 16 ga Round Wire
• 1 foot- 18 ga Round Wire
• 1 foot – 20 ga Round Wire

Recommended Tools:

• 1- Chain Nose Pliers
• 1- Flat Nose Pliers
• 1- Ball Pein Hammer
• 1- Sawframe with 3/0 Blades
• 1- Riveting Hammer
• 1- Scriber
