Basics of Enameling

Come for this 2-day course if you like adding colour in your jewellery. Here you will learn how to use enamel with minimum equipment needed. You will learn basic enameling techniques that include the use of hot and cold enamel. After the class you will be able to continue experimenting on your own and create unique designs for your necklaces, earrings, rings and bracelets. No previous jewellery making experience is needed.

Tools and Materials may include but are not limited to:

• Prepared pieces that you would like to enamel.

• At least two colours of Ceramit and a catalyst

• Cloisonné silver wire

• Pliers

• AA tweezers

• Exacto Knife

• Gold and silver foil

• File

• Small jars with lids and cheap brushes from a dollar store

• Snaptites and matching stones or/and stones that are set in bezels.

• Sheet of metal

• 1mm drill bit

• Saw-frame and saw-blades

• 1.5 mm ball-bur

• Copper and silver wire
