Introduction to Metal Clay

Instructor: Kristan MacIntyre
Duration: 12 hours - 6 hours each day over two weekend days
Cost: $150.00 (plus HST)

Metal Clay is an amazing material that you mold and shape like clay. When it is fired in a kiln*, the organic binder burns off, and you are left with pure metal. In this two day, 12 hour class, you will make (at least) a pendant and/or earrings while you learn the basics of how to use the clay, rolling, texturing, shaping, setting a facetted (synthetic) stone & finishing. The instructor provides the tools that you’ll need in-class, so all that you need to purchase is the  clay itself. Tools are available for purchase for creating at home.

*Firing services will be offered by Mountain Gems for pieces you make after the class ends.
