Fused Ring- Aug 23 (Register Today!)

The Fused Ring makes a statement with its play of textures and stylized band. This project will teach students how to build something with nothing. Fusing is a technique where we use a process of melting the silver itself to be used as the solder to join the parts together.

Fusing is a great way to reuse all those left over bits of silver that get created when working in silver. Why not use the re-use/ reduce concept a little further with your creations and really use up every little bit you have.

Students are welcome to bring their own scrap silver or purchase silver at the store for their project. They will also have the option of buying gold or using old scrap bits of gold as accents for their rings, but it is not necessary and little embellishments can be made with silver instead.

No tools are required, the instructor will supply them for use in class. Students will only be required to purchase or bring their own silver and stones for the workshop.
